Dear Dear Friends...........just back from a very sweet SE Asian experience. Jakarta, Bali and Singapore. I was blessed to teach at the first Jakarta Yoga Festival and it was amazing. Everyone was so open, excited and grateful to attend the festival. About 500 yogis attended and much was shared and enjoyed by all. Bali was blissful and so beautiful as always. It is the most creative, artistic and wonder-full place for me. There are endless expressions of beauty and possibilities there. I had a week long holyday with Bruce(hubby)in a stunning villa overlooking the lush verdant green rice paddies, daily massages:):):),many moments of just being!!! Then my old home Singapore. Just 2 days but saw so many special friends and taught class to so many of my first students. All very special and heart warming!

Now home and waiting for all my 4 "birdies"(sons) to return to the Nest for year end celebrations together!!! Feeling so so happy that we can all come together again. When I see the boys all together it just reminds me of the incredible speed of time these days. So guys, stay present, fully in the moment so you don't miss a precious moment.

Heart Song Circle with Kevin James

Just back from a magical retreat in Kyushu... which I will share with you later.

In the meantime, I'm very happy to announce that I will be hosting Kevin James' Heart Song Circle at my home on Tuesday, November 30 from 7pm.

Weaving ancient Mantra’s from various traditions with his own heartsong, Kevin James’ anthemic songs are an effective platform to dissolve the ego, reconnect to the heart and co-create a positive vibration for the world. Kevin draws upon influences from traditional Indian Kirtan, Celtic and Sufi chants and world music , with his own wisdom and a deep understanding of universal truths.

Kevin creates a free and open sacred space where everyone is encouraged to express themselves through Sacred song and spontaneous dance.

Autumnal Offerings

Already October 28th, which by the way is my (and my husband's ) 26th, yes 26th wedding anniversary........unbelievable!!! So much his-tory and her-story , shared in our lives!!!

I just returned from a quick trip to the island of Oahu in Hawaii. Now I have been blessed to travel quite a bit, have seen many beautiful places but I must share with you that Hawaii is magic!!! The water, the waves, the wind and clouds are all so full of beauty and intensity there. It all felt so powerful, mystical and very sacred. I definitely want to go back and really see and experience so much more in that inspiring land.

So here are the offerings for the next few weeks before I travel down to beautiful Kyushu for the "Joy of Sacred Sound and Movement" retreat with Sachiho and Kevin.

Kundalini Dance Meditation

October Classes

Oh the delicious bitter-sweetness of Autumn......... as we move into Fall, the season of breathtaking colours, Thanksgiving, and greater awareness of change, I feel myself opening ,even more, to doors closing and new ones opening.

I have always felt very sentimental (who me???) about autumn. It has always been my favourite season. Growing up in Chicago I remember raking big piles of leaves in my backyard and then jumping into them. In those days we even use to burn the piles of gathered leaves and the smell was so beautiful. I always found it so magical how those intense green leaves would change colours and transform

into flaming jewels on the trees......and you know how I love jewels:). Anybody remember "Taffy Apples"???

So.... as the leaves begin to fall go to the parks my friends and let Mother Nature crunch under your feet..........it's great for our souls and our soles!!!

Journey into your Creative Core

Please join Rebecca and Diane in a beautiful class where we will stir our creative juices through the practice of Kundalini Yoga, focusing on the Second Chakra, our centre for passion and creativity. After the yoga and meditation we will then explore our creativity further through the medium of drawing. Using pastels and stream of conciousness writing we will more deeply explore our inner world. What a summer this has been!!!!! I spent almost 6 weeks in the US, Chicago and NYC. I started at my Mother's home in Chicago, in the home I grew up in from the age of 8, so many memories and feelings arise when going back to our childhood homes, powerful! My Mom is now 84 and is a constant source of inspiration, and joy to me. She truly is a natural yogini in that she doesn't hold on to any thoughts or feelings that do not serve her well. Now she does this as she smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day between 10 cups of coffee........who's to say what really works? I pray I have her genes!!!

I spent 7 days in Chicago going to a course with Andrew Harvey, the founder of a beautiful and important movement called "Sacred Activism". Please take a moment and look him up on utube or his website under his name. He has many powerful ,poetic and relevant messages to share.

I then flew off to NYC, spent some wonderful time with Jake, my eldest son now living in NYC. I do love that crazy, vibrant off the wall city. I went to several Broadway show, ate at far too many yummy restaurants and even went dancing in a very "colourful" gay bar one night..........the best place to dance!!!

Then attended 2 powerful retreats at Omega Institute, a really good place to know about. 6 months of the year they offer wonderful holistic programs in a beautiful natural surrounding.........highly recommend that place. Spent one week in a "Goddess Bootcamp", what a blast and then a week with my Kundalini teacher, Gurmukh........big blessings, all of it!

And now back home in sweet Japan. I really do love this country. It is blessed with a very gracious and sweet energy. I love to travel but love to call this country home now.

Summertime and the livin is easy!!!

Dearest Friends......this last week I've had such a great time not doing anything I do usually. My schedule is totally chaotic, unpredictable and spontaneous.......and I'm loving it!!!

My second son , Nathan, from NZ is in from University with 5 friends, yes they are all staying at my home and it is so crazy and so wonderful!!!

Sooooooo my "normal" schedule is up in the air and I am surrendering to this way of being for the next 2 weeks.

I will however be teaching the following before I fly off to the USA for almost 6 weeks...

July 4th at Lotus 8 Yoga Centre: 4:30-8:30. teaching with beautiful Sachiho from Okinawa

July 5th and the 12th at my home: 10am-11:30am

and that my fellow travelers may be it until I return August 24th..................

Dearest Friends..............O Hanami is in the air.... Mother Nature in one of her sweetest moods:) .......please make time to sit , see and celebrate the fleeting presence of these beautiful blossoms!!!

Well I have just returned from a wonderful whirlwind of a trip. New Zealand, Singapore Bali, Singapore all in 3 weeks. SO many gorgeous, powerful and blessing-filled experiences!!!
The festival in BAli was abundantly blissful, Kundalini yoga really rocked at the festival and I feel so grateful and blessed to be able to share this creative, loving and transformational practice. Please check out their facebook for some great photos and for a feel of the fest.

INCREDIBLE INDIA ............... as always what a journey. So much celebration, colour, life, spirit, craziness and beauty everyday. Look at the sweet picture of me and my new Tibetan "daughter". We had such an immediate strong connection, very special. The festival was very beautiful , powerful and full of great yogis, energy and joy. Next year let us go together!
A few reminders and updates: I'm off to New Zealand on Saturday evening with my family for spring break and to see son #3 who studies in NZ........yeah!!! Then to Singapore to teach for a few days followed by Bali for the BAli Spirit Festival...........not too late to join!!!

Spring has sprung!!! Celebrating and observing the change of seasons is such a joy. Everything has cycles, keeps flowing, changing, expanding , contracting...........we can learn so much about ourselves by watching and participating in nature. So my friends, get outside, take a walk, dance in the sun, dig in the dirt and if you dare......even hug a tree!!!

Off to Rishikesh tomorrow morn for the International Yoga Festival. Will be so wonderful seeing some of my teachers and reuniting with friends and fellow yogis on this amazing journey we call Life.

I will return on the 8th of MArch and classes will resume the evening of the 9th.
