October Classes

Oh the delicious bitter-sweetness of Autumn......... as we move into Fall, the season of breathtaking colours, Thanksgiving, and greater awareness of change, I feel myself opening ,even more, to doors closing and new ones opening.

I have always felt very sentimental (who me???) about autumn. It has always been my favourite season. Growing up in Chicago I remember raking big piles of leaves in my backyard and then jumping into them. In those days we even use to burn the piles of gathered leaves and the smell was so beautiful. I always found it so magical how those intense green leaves would change colours and transform

into flaming jewels on the trees......and you know how I love jewels:). Anybody remember "Taffy Apples"???

So.... as the leaves begin to fall go to the parks my friends and let Mother Nature crunch under your feet..........it's great for our souls and our soles!!!

Journey into your Creative Core

Please join Rebecca and Diane in a beautiful class where we will stir our creative juices through the practice of Kundalini Yoga, focusing on the Second Chakra, our centre for passion and creativity. After the yoga and meditation we will then explore our creativity further through the medium of drawing. Using pastels and stream of conciousness writing we will more deeply explore our inner world. This is a FUN creative PLAY that anyone can do. No previous art experience necessary. Really!

Come join Rebecca and Sachiho for a magical, heart-centred, special afternoon in Rebecca's garden.

We will practice yoga, chant, dance, share and experience powerful sound healing meditations while connecting with our Mother Earth, Gaea.

What a summer this has been!!!!! I spent almost 6 weeks in the US, Chicago and NYC. I started at my Mother's home in Chicago, in the home I grew up in from the age of 8, so many memories and feelings arise when going back to our childhood homes, powerful! My Mom is now 84 and is a constant source of inspiration, and joy to me. She truly is a natural yogini in that she doesn't hold on to any thoughts or feelings that do not serve her well. Now she does this as she smokes 2 packs of cigarettes a day between 10 cups of coffee........who's to say what really works? I pray I have her genes!!!

I spent 7 days in Chicago going to a course with Andrew Harvey, the founder of a beautiful and important movement called "Sacred Activism". Please take a moment and look him up on utube or his website under his name. He has many powerful ,poetic and relevant messages to share.

I then flew off to NYC, spent some wonderful time with Jake, my eldest son now living in NYC. I do love that crazy, vibrant off the wall city. I went to several Broadway show, ate at far too many yummy restaurants and even went dancing in a very "colourful" gay bar one night..........the best place to dance!!!

Then attended 2 powerful retreats at Omega Institute, a really good place to know about. 6 months of the year they offer wonderful holistic programs in a beautiful natural surrounding.........highly recommend that place. Spent one week in a "Goddess Bootcamp", what a blast and then a week with my Kundalini teacher, Gurmukh........big blessings, all of it!

And now back home in sweet Japan. I really do love this country. It is blessed with a very gracious and sweet energy. I love to travel but love to call this country home now.

Summertime and the livin is easy!!!

Dearest Friends......this last week I've had such a great time not doing anything I do usually. My schedule is totally chaotic, unpredictable and spontaneous.......and I'm loving it!!!

My second son , Nathan, from NZ is in from University with 5 friends, yes they are all staying at my home and it is so crazy and so wonderful!!!

Sooooooo my "normal" schedule is up in the air and I am surrendering to this way of being for the next 2 weeks.

I will however be teaching the following before I fly off to the USA for almost 6 weeks...

July 4th at Lotus 8 Yoga Centre: 4:30-8:30. teaching with beautiful Sachiho from Okinawa

July 5th and the 12th at my home: 10am-11:30am

and that my fellow travelers may be it until I return August 24th..................

wooooooo.........what a wonderful whirlwind it has been this last month!!! From Hong Kong to Okinawa I have been blessed to share, teach, experience and meet so many open hearted people.

Loving the Azaleas..................

Dearest Friends...........been such a long time since I've updated. Between my old computer totally crashing and figuring out my new Mac (named Lakshmi :)) and hosting my teacher Gurmukh, it's been wonderfully busy.

Just wanted to quickly get out to you May's class schedule at my home. So here you go........

Dearest Friends..............O Hanami is in the air.... Mother Nature in one of her sweetest moods:) .......please make time to sit , see and celebrate the fleeting presence of these beautiful blossoms!!!

Well I have just returned from a wonderful whirlwind of a trip. New Zealand, Singapore Bali, Singapore all in 3 weeks. SO many gorgeous, powerful and blessing-filled experiences!!!
The festival in BAli was abundantly blissful, Kundalini yoga really rocked at the festival and I feel so grateful and blessed to be able to share this creative, loving and transformational practice. Please check out their facebook for some great photos and for a feel of the fest.


A couple reminders: Please remember my teacher Gurmukh is coming to Japan for Golden week.........see attachment. Give yourself the gift of one of her classes or retreats please.

This Saturday, April 10th, from 10am-12noon we will activate, energize and balance our Throat Chakra in a special class at my home. This is the 5th chakra, our "home" of expression and learning to embrace and speak our Truth............hoping you can join and feel your Truth and then share it........it's why we are here on earth:):):)

INCREDIBLE INDIA ............... as always what a journey. So much celebration, colour, life, spirit, craziness and beauty everyday. Look at the sweet picture of me and my new Tibetan "daughter". We had such an immediate strong connection, very special. The festival was very beautiful , powerful and full of great yogis, energy and joy. Next year let us go together!
A few reminders and updates: I'm off to New Zealand on Saturday evening with my family for spring break and to see son #3 who studies in NZ........yeah!!! Then to Singapore to teach for a few days followed by Bali for the BAli Spirit Festival...........not too late to join!!!
Will return on April 7th, will send out info on classes while I'm travelling.
Last Saturday we expereinced the 3rd Chakra Journey and as always I want to thank those of you who attended for putting in so much energy and heart felt enthusiasm. Together we all create these beautiful and transformational expereinces.....thankyou thankyouthankyou!!!
